WordPress CMS

WordPress is usually thought of as a platform for blogging. Since it’s initial version in 2003, it has evolved and been improved so that it can be used as a Content Management System (CMS). This means that WordPress can be used to build more “conventional” websites and offer powerful tools for users use the site as a communication portal, which can easily be updated and edited.

  • Switching to another theme is usually not a major operation.
  • There are built in tools for backing up data.
  • You can easily embed media (as you see on this site) from other sources, such as the Internet Archive and YouTube.
